Wrinkles... Who needs 'em!!

So turning 26 has caused me some freak-out moments! BIG TIME! As you all know, if you have been reading my blog for a few weeks, I have bangs and have been contemplating getting rid of them. Well last night, I was sitting on the couch with my husband and I had my bangs pushed back and I said, "You know, I am getting some serious wrinkles!" He said nothing!!! I was expected at least a "You are crazy!" But no, nothing! All the time I am obsessing over something on my body (I hate that about me). I am obsessed with something new all the dang time. One day it's my weight, the next-my hair, the next-my wrinkles, the next-my cellulite, the next-my arms, the next-my thighs, the next-my arms (yeah I think that about covers the weekly routine!)! Well lately, it's been a lot of stressing over my weight ('cause I have gained since getting married-and I was determined not to do that) and my new found wrinkles! Now, I must take some responsibility for them, you see, I used to love the tanning bed. Not so much anymore because I am seeing what it does to you. (Oh if I had only listened to my mother-how many times do I say that in a week???) The main problem area is my forehead... hence maybe I am keeping the bangs a while longer! :) There's these three lines and they are deep and I am freakin' :) I want them gone, I mean I don't have any reason to have wrinkles right???? RIGHT! I am only 26, I have no kids, very little REAL stress! Ahhhh, why are they here!!!!!!!!! Why why why!!! So that brings me to my questions for you girls!

1. How do you feel about Botox??
- I am not anti-but I don't particularly have the money for that right now. I wouldn't do it all over my face, but I am okay with doing it around my eyes and forehead. I remind my husband daily that he knew when he married me that I obsess over the way I look (again-I realize this is WRONG and I shouldn't' do it and I really do hate that about me)! And he knew I would one day be expensive due to trying to look what I consider to be "my best!" But who knew it would come at age 26?? :)

2. Have any of you tried any anti wrinkles treatments??
- I have heard that StriVectin HS is amazing for wrinkles. But at $153/0.9 oz... I am not sure if I want to "test it"!

For about 8 months or so I have been using Super Line Preventor Xtreme by Prescriptives. And I love it. For many reasons, but I don't feel like it's done a whole lot for my wrinkles! Now Prescriptives has come out with NEW Super Line Preventor Xtreme Lifting Concentrate! I really want to try it, but again I am skeptical to just "try it." I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars (and I am sure my husband doesn't want me to either) trying these products if they aren't going to give me a wrinkle-free forehead :) ha!

Give me some tips ladies... I am desperate for help!!!

I am shaking my head at you :-)

I think we need proof that you really have wrinkles and are not over reacting.

You are beautiful and need to see that. I would make a bet with you that in a couple years, you would look back on pictures and think. "Why was I so worried then?"

yeah I have to agree with Tracy...seriously you are a knockout so I'm going to need physical proof that you have wrinkles before I tell you that botox is an option...

Totally agree with the ladies, you're gorgeous girl! Nobody has "perfect" skin or a "perfect" body, but I don't think you have anything to be worried about!

Muffy says: Use a high SPF EVERY DAY (I use spf 55) and moisturize every night! My facialist told me if I keep using sunblock, my skin will stay perfect forever!!!

I feel your pain..Im 28 and i noticed my first evil "fine lines" (AKA wrinkles) not too long ago..horrible...
BUT wrinkles are part of growing i choose to think of my little lines as proof i smile too much..heheehhee..

to help not get anymore lines i use at least a 30 sunblock, moisturise lots and never smoke.

Im sure noone else but you can even notice your fine lines anyway ;)

don't do botox. you're gorgeous!

(i'm not opposed to botox, but you don't need that now!)

use lots of sunscreen and don't intentionally put yourself in the sun. get a good night cream and a good day time moisturizer. the lines will diminish.

my best friend had some bad forehead wrinkles and started using Bliss products and those lines are GONE. i love the Bliss products.

Ok... First of all this is "The Husband" and I'd just like to defend myself. When she said that about her "wrinkles" I said, "No you dont, where?" And she said, "Right here, look." And then I said, "I dont see anything."

I tell her she is beautiful every single day!

I know a lot of quotes in there. But I cant go out like that! Yes, baby, I do read your blog! :)

thanks for your comment -

Its a fact (and im sure you know this) that actresses are very airbrushed in magazines (even the young ones). Also, famous people wear tons of make-up and have a team of people to help them hide their flaws on screen (lucky them)

As i said before (in my previous comment to you)im sure noone even notices your wrinkles...we are all much more critical of ourselves than anyone else is.

Why is it that we obsess over things and can't get them out of our mind? I'm currently obsessed with my growing belly and hips and while I still fit into my size 6 clothes, I beat myself up everyday since they feel a bit tighter. Why can't we just be happy and enjoy our bodies they way they are? Interestingly enough, the days when I find that I'm not obsessing are the days I tend to eat the best and lose weight. Weird.

Anyway, I think you look great and should stop worrying and just enjoy life. I know, that's so much easier said that done. Believe me, my husband tells me the same thing and yet I've yet to completely follow his advice.

This is a constant worry of mine: wrinkles. I did have a friend who tried the Str-Vectin and HATED it. You could read some of the reviews on MakeupAlley dot com (if you haven't already). Loving your blog!

I love your honesty - we all freak out over things as we get older. I freaked out when I found my first grey hair at 25! And to be honest, if I could afford Botox, I would consider it. The only downside is that it's not permanent, so you need to keep at it. Just do the best you can now, with the skin you have, and maybe visit a beautician and do peels and intensive serums etc. But I agree with everyone else, your pics show that you're a beautiful girl!

hey girl I have been reading your blogs for a few weeks and might I add they are GREAT!!! I have had BOTOX. I loved it! I have these twitches in my eyelids so the Dr gave me Botox to relax the muscles and nerves and it worked wonders. My insurance even paid for it because the Dr. billed it under "Blethrospasms"..... It technically cant be considered "cosmetic surgery" if you can convince a Dr. to bill it under that code!!!
Word of advice though: if you do go thru with it... make sure you keep eyedrops and eye-gel (found @ wal-mart) handy. You will have a hard time completely closing your eyes at night so they tend to dry out and crust over!!! YUCK, I know!
But other than that, I have my injections every 3 months and I LOVE it!!!!

p.s. You look AMAZING though so I wouldnt worry abt a few wrinkles... They add character!!!!

I worry about wrinkles too. Last time I had a chemical peel, I asked about botox. They said when you get botox when you are young it helps to prevent wrinkles, it lasts longer, and you need less. I am probably not going to do it anytime soon, but I wanted to know about it.

If you are worried you might want to ask your dermatologist. I also wear SPF 45 every day. My dermatologist said that is the best thing I can do.

Enjoy your week!

If it is able to remove the scars and leave your skin looking as it were, shiny and blemish free, you would be the happiest person on earth.
