Hungry lady!!

So I know that my baby is only the size of a orange seed and it doesn't require THAT much nutrients... then WHY AM I SO DANG HUNGRY??? I am eating for goodness sake! I mean I had complete self control and lost 24 lbs in 3 months... but all of a sudden I am craving things I know I shouldn't can't have!! Here are just a few of them!! If anyone can explain this phenomenon, I am all ears!! :)

Doritos!!! Oh my gah!!

Ahhh, chips and salsa!!

Fried Cheese Sticks!!

Fried Pickles... I mean really?
Does anyone see a pattern here??? It's all fried, greasy, bad for your body, crap!! But my mind sure does want all of this. And sure, I will even take it all at once :) I am going to need to join a support group... or maybe start one called "Pregnant Women That Can't Say No To Food!!"

WWW & Baby Gifts

Well, I abandoned WWW the past several weeks and now you know why :) Although i pretty much followed WW and my original diet up until recently I did splurge more on the weekends and I can see the results of that (IT'S NOT GOOD)! I will be honest, I am having a really hard time figuring out what to eat, what not to eat, how to adjust my caloric intake and such!! We all know I am pretty obsessive over my weight, but I have always been healthy about it! I don't want to gain too much and I don't want to too little! But in due time (and lots of research and reading) I will figure it all out. My Dr says right now the baby doesn't require THAT much extra food than I am eating already (so I can't use being pregnant as an excuse to down 4 slices of pizza instead of two) :)

I am not going to follow WW while I am pregnant but I am going to watch what I eat, as I have always done! At this point I am already having some food aversions. Not many cravings but aversions for sure. Like, for one, I was eating a salad almost every night with dinner, but now, the thought of lettuce and dressing makes me want to vomit! And I am not craving some foods as much as I once did. It's strange. But I have been reading that this is all normal. My sweet husband bought me the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting" right after we found out and I have been reading up (hence my pause on the Twilight series)!

I know there are many questions that are going to pop in my head about pregnancy and I am so glad I have some fellow bloggers that are going through or have recently gone through what I am!

So I probably won't have much going on with WWW until Baby Beanie arrives, but know that after, I will be jumping right back on the Fit Train!!! Believe me!! And I am determined to get back down to my goal weight!! It will happen :)

Hubs and I are planned to run a 10K about 3 months after Beanie is born! So I will have very little time to get prepared for that, but that's my motivation :) And I do plan to run throughout my pregnancy. After talking to my Dr, since I have been running all along, it's ok to continue. I am listening to my body and I am not pushing myself too hard. I have lowered my intensity of running and basically just jog now! It really keeps me sane and let's me know that I am working hard to keep my body in shape. Being pregnant is no excuse to gain 40 or 50 lbs. I plan to only gain around 20. I will keep you (honestly) updated on my body's changed! After all, I need some place to vent!! :)

So after sharing the news, I got some of the sweetest comments, emails, cards and even a few gifts.

My dear IRL friend Tracy made me a beautiful Auburn burp cloth. It's so cute and it means so much because she MADE it!! Thanks my dear!!

And my IRL friend Meredith got me the most precious sterling silver cup for Beanie and we will have it engraved once we know if it will be a boy or girl!!

My mom of course has done some shopping. She bought Beanie an Auburn pacifier and bib. They are precious and an Auburn baby book. So cute!

Hubs got me the cutest onsie with a little monkey on it for Valentines Day! I looove monkeys :)

My Best Kept Secret...

I know I have been on a hiatus the past week, but for good reason... I guess it's time for me to reveal what I have been keeping a secret for almost a month...

You read that right! I am pregnant! :) And I am BEYOND thrilled. Hubs and I are ecstatic really!! If you could see how big my smile is right now you would get just how PUMPED we are!!! We feel truly blessed that God is going to use us as parents!! I always had a fear that I wouldn't be able to be a mom, but God's plans for me are in place! And I couldn't be more happy!
I am 7 weeks and 1 day today and the little one is due October 11th!!
I have been so blessed. So far, I have had NO sickness. NONE AT ALL!! And I really hope that continues!!
I had to keep this a secret for a little while for several reasons. Right after we found out, I had a little bleeding. My doctor was afraid it might be a tubal pregnancy. So we had LOTS of blood work and testing done and it turns out everything is fine! Well really, everything is great!! GOD IS GOOD! I had complete faith that God's will would be done and still do!! He is in complete control of this situation and I am so thankful to know that!! And have that peace! We heard the heartbeat for the first time last Thursday. And can I just say how AMAZING that was!! It was beating so fast. I was just smiling with tears in my eyes and laughing. It was just precious!!
We decided to start trying back in January because we thought it might take a few months. Well it didn't. It took one time! :) So we knew there was a chance. Well on January 28th I realized that I was missing something... my period! So I took a test and it was very clear to me that I was pregnant. Hubs and I then went to the store to buy 4 more. All in all I took 6 tests and all said YES!! YES!! YES!!! We were beyond thrilled, but honestly a little shocked that it happened so quickly!! :)
I know there are lots of questions I need to answer and I will try to do my best to not leave out any details :)
We told our parents last Sunday and began telling our close friends last week. The cat is pretty much out of the bag and our little Beanie (as we are referring to him/her as) is healthy, so I wanted to share it with you girls now!
The way we told our parents was I had little onsie's made that said "Grammy & Paw Love Me" (what my parents will be called) and "Nana and Papa Love Me" (what Hubs parents will be called) and we presented them to them in bags and told them it was a Valentine's surprise. We also included pictures of Dansby and Daizy holding signs that said "I am going to be a big sister/brother"! I had my camera ready to video when they opened them and well my mom flipped out. We told my parents at their home that Sunday afternoon and then told Hubs parents on our way back in town at their home. It was great to see their reactions. My mom and dad both cried. It was so precious! My dad never cries! Needless to say, my mom has been dying to get to the shopping and already has done some. She is a shopoholic! :)
I am going to post a video below of my mom's reaction. I warn you... if you are at work, turn your volume down to low :) She yells loud :)
I am so excited to be sharing this journey with you all. It will be very personal for me to share but it will be great to have all of you to get advice from and have your support :) Hugs to you all!

Valentine's Day Action

What a wonderful Valentine's Day I had!! I am voting it THE BEST ONE EVER! My husband really out did himself!!

You see, since we are in the midst of buying our first home, we set a budget of $50. Well, he blew that right out of the water. I went slightly over, but he went, up, over, down, around and beyond the budget!

The day started off with me waking up to a FABULOUS SMELL, so I ran in the kitchen and he said (with a smile), "Go get back in bed!!" So, me and the pups, ran back down the hall and leaped back in bed and breakfast was served to me in bed... complete with a rose and the best orange juice drink ever. It was very much like a mimosa. YUM! Then he brought me my first gift! It was a certificate for a couples massage at noon! I was ECSTATIC!!! So at noon we started our day with a 1 hour couples massage. And it was AMAZING!!

We then grabbed lunch at a little local place here and headed home to do some house cleaning and dog grooming. After all that fun we got ready and opened presents (more on that below) and headed to Auburn for dinner. We skipped shopping because cleaning and grooming took a little longer than expected. We waited an hour to eat at Olive Garden but ohhhhh it was worth it!! Soooo yummy, it's just my fave place. Hands down!!

So then, we decided since we had pretty much BLOWN our eating well this weekend, we might as well head on over to Marble Slab Creamery to get some healthy treats (ha-yeah right)!

Home we went for some romantic times :) Complete with lit candles... it was a perfect day!! :)

As for gifts, I got Hubs a gray Under Armour (we are both obsessed with this) workout shirt, a book and two DVDs. (Knocked Up & Step Brothers-we love all of these dumb/hilarious movies) :) ha

He got me "Blades of Glory" (told yall we love stupid/funny movies) "Love Dare" and some amazing (much needed) Under Armour running shoes. I have been dying for these!! My shoes are completely shot! I have always been a New Balance girl , but since my new obsession with Under Armour began I have wanted a pair :) Now I got 'em :) yay! So you see, he did goooood!
(again completely blew budget)

Under Armour Women's White/Pink Proto Speed II Training Shoes

I have enjoyed catching up on all of your Valentine's Day stories today!! :) Back to it...

Friday the 13th & Valentine's Day...

... all in one weekend! So what do these two dates have in common (for me)??? Well, I will spend every second of both days (well tonight and all day tomorrow) with my wonderful husband!

I am a HUGE horror movie fan! HUGE! So I love Friday the 13th. It's scary movie time for me! And thank goodness Hubs doesn't mind scary movies (I think he actually liked them) because we are off to see a classic! Friday the 13th (the new one) comes out tonight and I am PUMPED to see it! I got our tickets on Fandango just in case it was sold out. Although I have a feeling it won't be, seeing as it's Valentine's Day weekend and all! So many people that know me find it so strange that I LOVE & ADORE horror movies! Now I don't like "slasher films"! Big difference in horror and slasher! Example: We went to see "My Bloody Valentine" (yeah I know... it was 3-D so I thought it would be cool)! That movie is nothing but a slasher/blood/gore film! It was gross and by the end I wanted to pull my hair out! They drag it out and drag it out! Ugh! My kind of horror/scary films are more like: Saw, Identity, Seven, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Pet Cemetery, Amittyville Horror, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ring, Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Stigmata... you get the idea :) So tonight, after a nice, calm dinner, Hubs and I will head off to the late showing of Friday the 13th-yippee! I guess it's something about being on the edge of my seat, scared to death that I thrive off of :) ha!

Then Saturday for Valentine's Day, Hubs and I will wake up... spend some time at home cleaning the house and bathing/grooming our pups... maybe go for a nice run together... then head to Auburn for some shopping and dinner! He actually suggested the shopping and if you knew how much he hated shopping you would think this was just so precious!! Then we will have a casual dinner. Bless my husband's heart. I am so picky so we never get to have a NICE dinner at a NICE restaurant. Olive Garden will probably receive our business Saturday night! It's one of my faves!! I so wish I enjoyed fine dining but I just don't!

I got him the BEST Valentine's present. But I can't share with you what it is just yet (Hubs read my blog)! Let's just say, it's appropriate! :)
I hope all of you wonderful ladies have a GREAT Valentine's Day with your special honey!! :)

A laugh for the day:

This morning on the radio I heard THE FUNNIEST THING! Apparently some club/bar in ATL is having a Valentines Party for single peeps... and the theme is...

I almost wrecked when I heard that! hahahaha

A Request & A Video

So first of all, I have a request. Would you ladies be so kind as to share where you get your decorating tips? What magazines & websites are your favorite. Hubs and I are about to be in the final stages of purchasing our first home together (more to come on that later) and I want to change things up a bit. We currently rent a home and I finally have it decorated how I like and we are moving! But I want to brighten my home up when we move. So let me in on your little secrets :) Where do you get your inspiration for decorating. I need all the help i can get. I am always so focused on fashion and celeb life when it comes to websites and magazines that I don't know where to turn to get help... so I am turning to you ladies :) Can't wait to get started!

Secondly, if you want something to just warm your heart, or if you just simply LOVE dogs (like me) then watch this 60 second video. It's not sad, just absolutely precious!! :)

Westminster Dog Show anyone?

Did anyone else watch this?? Between The Bachelor & The City on Monday and Biggest Loser & Real Housewives of OC on Tuesday, I was able to fit some of the show in. I look forward to this Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show every year!! I mean seriously!! We all know how much I looooove animals and being that dogs are my fave, well this is a MUST SEE for me!

As each breed came on the screen I looked at Hubs and said "Oh I want one!" And I didn't say it just once, I said it like 10 times :) (for the same dog).

The breeds are all so beautiful!! Every single one!! But I of course have some faves!! But one I was surprised about was the BEST IN SHOW winner, the Sussex Spaniel. Not surprised he won, but I had never even heard of that breed. Well maybe heard, but never seen and I am officially in love!!! How beautiful is he?

Such a cool story about Stump: He is the oldest Best In Show winner EVER! He almost died when he was five but he was saved and look at him now :) GORGEOUS! Hopefully one day I will own one!! How can you not love that precious face!! (sigh)

(Shih Tzu) Ch Hallmark Jolei Surfer Girl
I love this breed for OBVIOUS reasons. This little girl reminds me of what Daizy would look like if I let her hair grown (which I would never do-doesn't it look miserable for her?) This breed has my heart and always will! I will always own a Shih Tzu!!

(Dandie Dinmont) Ch King's Mtn Minnie Mouse
I have always wanted one of these-And this name about made me pass out because I have always referred to this breed as the Mickey Mouse Dog :) They are simply to die for. Gorgeous in every way!!

(Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) Ch Timsar Mister Moonlighter

My in laws have one of these so we of course were pulling for this breed!! Their pup, Molly, is just so sweet and precious!!

(Giant Schnauzer) Ch Galilee's Pure Of Spirit

This dog actually won it's Group (Working Group). We were pumped. Hubs had Schnauzers growing up and I have always thought they were gorgeous!!!

(Welsh Corgi) Ch Ryslip History Boy

Oh what can I say about my precious Corgi's?? I will own one (soon!). I have wanted one of these (I know I say that a lot) almost right after I fell in love with Shih Tzus I fell in love with Corgis!! I mean they are so gorgeous!! Hubs is aware of my dog obsession and he knows I want one of these REALLY BAD!!

If they had let Goldendoodles in the show, I would have been going NUTS!

We will own one of these too!! I promise you that :)

There's something about clocks that I just love!! Different, unique clocks, that you don't see everywhere you go.

Well for quite some time now, I have been wanting an over sized clock that you can see through.

Today on I found two that I love! They are a little pricey for me, but I might have to start saving now for one... :) Check them out. And if you sweet girls see any out and about that are a little less expensive and more kind to my wallet, let me know! I am on the prowl!! Plleeeaassseeeee :) and thank you!

Love this!!

Precious too

Our Administration is GENIUS!!

I have had at least three friends tell me thus far, "I can't believe I helped vote him into office!" And all I can do is smile! I don't go off. I don't defend my FAR RIGHT CONSERVATIVE opinions and beliefs! No point. Everyone thought that this Administration would be the saving grace our country needed. Well I have news... only God can fix these problems we are facing!! Not Obama and his administration. It's all in God's hands. Nothing Obama can do will fix our country's problems. Well there is one thing... he could get on his face and pray to God!!

My friend Sassy Engineer says it best!! I agree 100%! But I too know that God is in complete control. I really have peace with everything going on in our country right now. But only because God tells me not to worry! Therefore, I am not worried. Really, I am not.

Philippians 4:6, we are commanded, " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

1 Peter 5:7, we are instructed to "cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Eph. 4:22-24 tells us, sinful habits of worry must be replaced with godly habits of faith and trust along with obedience.

Edited to add: I am not criticizing Obama. I am simply stating my faith in God to fix the problems our country is facing, if it is His will! I don't think I said anything BAD about Obama, did I? I realize this post might make a few angry. That is not my intention at all. I am just sharing my FAITH!

Strange, I know!

I am dying for some of these!! :) Weird I know! I don't know why or even where I would wear them. I just think they are so cute and I want a pair (or two)! :)

Anyone have any?

It's o-vah!

I am alive!!! I survived (barely) my event this weekend!! It went really well. Of course there were a few hiccups but I was not surprised by that. They were nothing major and I made it through with only one ginormous blister from walking around campus in stilettos all day long!! I am just glad it's over and done with. I do have another event in March, but it will be a piece of cake compared to this weekend!! I hope all of you lovely ladies had a fab weekend!!

I signed up over at
for the letter game!

So, here's the deal: If you want to play, leave a comment on this post letting me know, and I'll assign you a letter. You post ten things you love that begin with your assigned letter. The Bag Tag

So I know I have been AWFUL about thanking all of you wonderful bloggers for the awards and the fun tags!! So I am publicly apologizing for it!! (in my best begging voice) SO SO SO SORRY! I love all of the awards and I think I have thanked each of you on your blog, I just never posted about it!! I will use the excuse of: BUSY AT WORK! :)

Today one of the sweetest bloggers (with two of the cutest kids), More Wine Please, tagged me in the BAG TAG! This looked fun, and I hadn't seen it before so I thought why not? I don't have a HUGE event tomorrow to prep for... so I will kill some time having fun with my purse :)

Here are the rules:

1) Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today or the last time you left the house. No cheating!
2) I want to know how much it cost:) And this is not to judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I’d love to hear it.
3) Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your bag.

This is my current "back breaker" :) It's from The Limited and I paid $19.99 for it (on sale from $99) right before Christmas! I couldn't NOT buy it. I mean they were practically "giving it away!" (That's what my mom and I always say!) haha. For my wedding present, Hubs got me a Louis Speedy bag. I carried it for 8 months (that's like a record for me) and of course it's in the brown family. Now don't get me wrong I realize that LV goes with EVERYTHING, but I was ready for a new beloved black bag, because... well, to be honest, I wear a lot of black. It's black, it's leather and it's fabulous!! I love it!! I have been carrying it ever since :) And probably will until summer time.
It's HUGE! I have seriously, everything in there! E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! It's always been a must for me to carry everything! I just can't have a small purse-can't! But it does cost me some pain when I am shopping; it weighs like 10 tons!!
I am going tag some of you fabulous ladies... I choose...

I got this as an email today. It is just so powerful!! Everyone remember's the Hudson River plan landing yes? That pilot is getting so much credit... but really it was God that landed that plane safely!! It's amazing how wonderful God really is; how he is complete control of everything!! This was a reminder for me, of that!!

And no matter what, he gets all the glory, honor and praise!!

Check this picture out. I can't give credit because I have no idea who did it! His signature is at the bottom!! Stunning picture!!

And I also got this prayer in an email... it speaks volumes!!
Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the dishes & laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.
Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is salvation. Your love is never ending. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love.

Working for God on earth doesn't pay much... but His retirement plan is out of this world.

You know?

You know when something is on your mind and it consumes every single thought you have??
It makes your stomach ache and your back hurt just thinking about it??
You want to just sleep until these thoughts go away??
You want to blurt out every thought you have about it??
You can't concentrate on work? social life? relationships?

Well that's me these days!! And I am driving myself crazy!!! CRAZY CRAZY!!

I need more rest. I need more time. I need more hours in the day!

Say a little prayer for me!

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

I know I should be ashamed for not posting about WWW the past TWO WEEKS. You know I have been busy because this is one of my favorite things to post about :)
I am happy to report I am holding at 139 this week. :) I have fluctuated between 139 and 142 for the past three weeks. Not bad! I am pretty pleased. It really hasn't been THAT difficult for me to maintain. I think I just finally have the right mind set and really that's what losing weight and keeping it off is all about! Do I have my moments of weakness?? YES! Do I give in sometimes??? YES! I am not perfect!! I will fall off the wagon , but when I do I get right back on :)

Even better news... really I have never cared about that #. I don't REALLY care how much the scale says I weigh. I like to go by my clothes. Well I can officially say, I can't wear 6's anymore. I gradually went from a 10 to an 8 (which I was thrilled about) to a 6 (which I was in pure SHOCK about) to a 4 (which I am still not believing)!! All of my 6 pants are too big. My 6 dresses I bought, too big! Grrr! But I refuse to really invest in any 4's just yet. I never was shooting to be a 4. I was shooting for a 6, but I knew that was a long shot. Even my mom said, "I never though you would get back in a 6!" :) Thanks Mom!

My closet now has quite a variety of sizes, but I am not (nor can I afford to be) in a rush to replenish everything in my closet with smaller sizes!! One out fit at a time... and one pair of pants to the seamstress at a time :)

I will be honest, I haven't been doing the push up or sit up challenge. SHAME ON ME I know!! I do crunches and other ab exercises daily but i haven't followed the challenge. I have been so consumed with doing Body Pump and running that I haven't made time for it. I know, terrible! I have really been enjoying running. It keeps me sane these days :) My legs are getting more shapely! I like that!!
So here is my recipe for the week. I haven't tried it, but the sound (and look) delicious!! :) Let me know if you have tried them or if you do!!
How was your journey on the "Fit Train" this week?
Glazed Pear Muffins (Sweet pear muffins with a slightly-spiced ginger glaze are great for a quick breakfast on the go or a nice brunch.)

Core and chop pears into tiny cubes; place in a large bowl. Add cinnamon, granulated sugar and lemon juice to pears; set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and milk; set aside.
In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Make a well with a spoon in center of flour mixture and pour in sour cream mixture and fruit mixture, alternating in small batches; mix until barely blended. Do not over beat. (NOTE: Batter will be very thick.)
Drop batter by heaping tablespoons into muffin holes until about 2/3 to 3/4 full; bake until top is golden, about 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes in muffin tin; remove from tins to racks and cool completely. (Or leave slightly warm to dip into glaze for easier preparation.)
While muffins are cooling, make glaze: Mix powdered sugar, ginger, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla and warm water together in a small bowl (add another teaspoon of water if glaze is too thick) . Spread a thin layer of glaze over each muffin. Yields 1 muffin per serving.

She does the HANKY PANKY!!

Who you ask??

My friend Erin at Blue-Eyed Bride :) She is having an awesome, HANKY PANKY, Valentines giveaway!! She's giving away Hanky Panky gift set from Nordstrom. So go over and check her out and enter this FABULOUS giveaway!!

Girls, I want to say thank you so much for all of your kind words and comments yesterday and today!! You really made me feel better!! I am so blessed to "know" each and every one of you!! I know my husband doesn't understand this, but I truly consider you all great friends!! One day I hope to meet every single one of you (Hey-it COULD happen!) :)

I am having another crazy busy day... not much excitement going on over here so I will leave you with this, it's appropriate after yesterday ... (it sent tears running down my face-simply HYSTERICAL)

"Negative People"
This is something to think about when negative people are doing their best to rain on your parade. So remember this story the next time someone who knows nothing, and cares less, tries to make your life miserable.

A woman was at her hairdresser's getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her husband. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded:

" Rome ? Why would anyone want to go there? It's crowded and dirty. You're crazy to go to Rome . So, how are you getting there?"

"We're taking Continental," was the reply. "We got a great rate!"

"Continental?" exclaimed the hairdresser. " That's a terrible airline. Their planes are old, their flight attendants are ugly, and they're always late. So, where are you staying in Rome?"
"We'll be at this exclusive little place over on Rome 's Tiber River called Teste."
"Don't go any further. I know that place. Everybody thinks its gonna be something special and exclusive, but it's really a dump, the worst hotel in the city! The rooms are small, the service is surly, and they're overpriced. So, whatcha' doing when you get there?"
"We're going to go to see the Vatican and we hope to see the Pope."
"That's rich," laughed the hairdresser. "You and a million other people trying to see him. He'll look the size of an ant. Boy, good luck on this lousy trip of yours. You're going to need it."
A month later, the woman again came in for a hairdo. The hairdresser asked her about her trip to Rome .

"It was wonderful," explained the woman, "not only were we on time in one of Continental's brand new planes, but it was overbooked, and they bumped us up to first class. The food and wine were wonderful, and I had a handsome 28-year-old steward who waited on me hand and foot. And the hotel was great! They'd just finished a $5 million remodeling job, and now it's a jewel, the finest hotel in the city. They, too, were overbooked, so they apologized and gave us their owner's suite at no extra charge!"
"Well," muttered the hairdresser, "that's all well and good, but I know you didn't get to see the Pope."
"Actually, we were quite lucky, because as we toured the Vatican, a Swiss Guard tapped me on the shoulder, and explained that the Pope likes to meet some of the visitors, and if I'd be so kind as to step into his private room and wait, the Pope would personally greet me.
Sure enough, five minutes later, the Pope walked through the door and shook my hand! I knelt down and he spoke a few words to me."
"Oh, really! What'd he say ?"

He said: "Where'd you get the shitty Hairdo?"

Due to some pretty rude/unintelligent/judgemental comments I have received over Friday's post, I have now deleted it. I won't address the comments because honestly, they aren't worth my time!

I know who I am as a person!

I AM a Christian! I am not perfect, no one is!

And am IN NO WAY or FORM a racist! Ask any of my friends!! I can handle being called MANY things, but not that. NO WAY! I never even mentioned race on that post.

So I will let that go and move on. And I apologize to anyone that I offended!

Thank you to all my blog friends who read my blog and post positive comments. You always brighten my day!

... that you win one of the two giveaways that two of my dear friends are having right now!

First up... Check out the YUMMY giveaway my sweet friend Mojito Maven is having!! My mouth immediately starting watering when I saw this! I gotta win! What a better time to indulge a little than Valentine's Day!! (pick me, pick me!!)

It's unfortunate but we must be fair!! :)
