Our Administration is GENIUS!!

NOT!

I have had at least three friends tell me thus far, "I can't believe I helped vote him into office!" And all I can do is smile! I don't go off. I don't defend my FAR RIGHT CONSERVATIVE opinions and beliefs! No point. Everyone thought that this Administration would be the saving grace our country needed. Well I have news... only God can fix these problems we are facing!! Not Obama and his administration. It's all in God's hands. Nothing Obama can do will fix our country's problems. Well there is one thing... he could get on his face and pray to God!!

My friend Sassy Engineer says it best!! I agree 100%! But I too know that God is in complete control. I really have peace with everything going on in our country right now. But only because God tells me not to worry! Therefore, I am not worried. Really, I am not.

Philippians 4:6, we are commanded, " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

1 Peter 5:7, we are instructed to "cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Eph. 4:22-24 tells us, sinful habits of worry must be replaced with godly habits of faith and trust along with obedience.

Edited to add: I am not criticizing Obama. I am simply stating my faith in God to fix the problems our country is facing, if it is His will! I don't think I said anything BAD about Obama, did I? I realize this post might make a few angry. That is not my intention at all. I am just sharing my FAITH!

I wouldn't jump to criticizing Obama just yet because he hasn't even been in office for a month. It did take 8 years (not a shot at G.W. I'm just saying the 8 years of bad choices in general) to get us to this point so it will take a while to turn around.

I think people need to be more patient. That's something that keeps getting forgotten when people bring up God in politics. Patience is a virtue.

I'm not trying to write a mean response to your post. I'm just sharing a different opinion. I think it's nice how trustful you are in your religion.

so very true! God is the one in control. I dont think people realize that it takes years for bad decisions made my previous presidents to show their effects. Like when Cliton was in office he made it easier to get a mortgage.. and now people who couldnt afford them then are now homeless. GWB is not to blame for this economy and I stand by what Blue Eyed Bride said.. I will be praising God not Obama if we get out of this recession.

Truer words couldn't be spoken.

I feel bad for the people that thought was he was elected into office things were immediately going to change! A little too ignorant!

Whether I agree with your politics...or not...this is a well written post, and very true. We need to stop viewing political leaders, celebrities, and other people as the answer. God is the answer...and it takes guts to say it. ;)

GW Bush didn't put us in this situation alone. If I remember correctly... Hillary Clinton (as the first lady) insisted that everyone had a RIGHT to own a home. and she insisted that everyone have the means to buy a home and be approved for loans. here we are now.

AMEN!!! The simple will be destroyed from lack of understanding. One of my favorite verses is Galatians 6:7 "God will not be mocked for what you reap you will sow." Our nation has turned away from God (including some churches) and everyone is side stepping not to offend people (the world). Who cares what people feel when it comes to God & His word because this world is going to burn. This greedy "PC" society is what is destroying our economy. Jesus is/and always has divided us and there's no fence riding about it. Obama's plan does not match up with God's word. Obama is a practicing Muslim (read your Bibles: Abraham/Ishmael). Obama will fail, the economy will fail, but God will protect His children through it all. For those who say there is no God; God will make Himself known. I take GREAT pride in saying that I did not vote our future generations into slavery. Stealing money from our great grandchildren is robbery. Suck it up and pay off your own debts. These debts have been rolling into this mess way before G.W. and his administration. Our greedy lifestyles have finally caught up with us. Israel repented and God showed His mercy; it's time America we do the same.

AGREE!!! I did say last night "Great Job, America!!" and flipped the tv OFF!! I'm not trying to be an ostrich and stick my head in the sand and wish it all away, but I'm also not dumb. I am with you in the fact that only God can fix the problem (trust me, I argued with SO many people about keeping church and state separate, my own brother being one of them) -- but we did our civic duty and voted and now we just have to trust the Lord will give guidance and provision and get our problems FIXED!!

I agree with Andi, too -- Obama inherited a TON of problems, so did GW, so did Clinton, so did, etc etc etc .... it's cyclical -- but I do believe it's going to get better.

Great Post, Lynds!

I think you should probably hope that Obama does fix the problems we are facing and not make sarcastic remarks about the fact that his administration is "genuis." We are in a huge reccession and he didn't put us in this mess. We should all pray that through God he can help guide us in the right direction but it is going to take more than a month. Sarcasim is not needed and even though you didn't particually like him- he was voted President of the United States by an overwelming majority and all of us should stand behind him and support him during these difficult times (not say I told you so).

You are so right. I am so glad that there is other people that agree with prayer.
