From B's to D's

Yall, seriously! These things have gotten HUGE! I don't mean kinda big, I mean EXTRA EXTRA large!

What am I talking about you ask??

MY BOOBS!

When I lost all my weight and finally got to where I needed to be, I had dropped from a C to a B cup. Well I have now completely surpassed C's again and gone right to the D's! But I am still cramming these babies into a C cup bra and well I am bustingout.com! I have got to invest in a D or maybe even DD bra soon! It's insane! I can't get over how big they are and I am only 15.5 weeks! How much bigger will they get, geez? And will they stay this way forever? PLEASE TELL ME NO!!

I used to want big boobs. I mean, I pitched a running fit for then in high school. That was going to be my first purchase out of college. Well I learned to love my C's then when I dropped to a B. I looooved them even more. These D's are making me look bigger than I am! I can still fit into my shirts and stuff and will be able to for a while I think but the bust area just isn't cutting it anymore.

Take today for example, I have on an Old Navy button up and it's perfectly fine in the waist, but he boobs are so huge I had to unbutton one extra button and put an undershirt on. The button was about to pop!

I want my B's back pronto please! But I know I have a while before they come back to me! I am glad though that I have now experienced what D's feel like. I know they are not for me and I love my B's more than ever :) Boob job is out (unless it's a lift!)

I am struggling big time with my body image these days so look for a post where I lay it all out there! And yes, I realize I am pregnant, but that doesn't help me when I look in the mirror! But I have remind myself daily that I am pregnant (and I am so thankful and blessed that I am) and my body is ever changing. For the good!

ohh girl trust me I know!! I went from a C to DD by the time I was about 20 weeks!!! Mine didn't get any bigger, but just a little fuller at first esp with milk..lol but now Brody is 4 months old, they are still big and stil a DD... you will get used to them..lol trust me! But yes the whole body changing thing is hard, esp when you gain 64 lbs like I did! But it is SOOOO WORTH IT!!! You lsoe it pretty fas ttoo, i've already lost 45 of it. You will be fine!! You will adjust to it, although it is a little hard and different at first!!

oh girl, i am barley a b, so I cant even imagine! You will adjust to it, just embrace it! : )

Mine did the same thing when I was preggers, but not as large. Mine never really got bigger as my pregnancy progressed. They stayed the same. Some days I felt the were smaller than others. I had a hard time in the beginning adjusting to feeling my stomach over my pants, but eventually learned to embrace it. When you actually start to look pregnant and not like you have just gained a little bit of weight, you will feel a lot better about yourself!

Love your blog!

If you plan on breastfeeding, they will only get bigger. Mine were crazy too and I'm normally a C cup. Even t-shirts looked provocative. :) from the beginning of my pregnancies until I stopped nursing I probably went through 3 different size bras. Embrace this wonderful time- your body goes through a lot of changes but, holding that beautiful baby in the end will make it all absolutely worth it- I promise. :)

Thanks for your honest post about what is going on. It gets annoying hearing about "oh my pregnancy in perfect, I loooovee stretch marks, etc. etc.". I am freaked out about what my body is going to do, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who has issues with it :)

First of all you look amazing!! and second of all flaunt them... :) xxoo

I am right there with you not wanting bigger boobs! At first, I thought that it would be nice if I had been blessed with them, but after a while I realized that with all the running and swimming I do, they would just get in the way! I'm quite pleased with what I've got! ;)

Krystyn said...

Yep...big ole boobies is right. And, when/if you nurse, they will get bigger (only briefly) and then they totally shrink back down!

Well I don't know what your going through just yet (I've only been married for 5 days) but I think it is normal to have body image issues during pregnancy. The important part is that you are reminding yourself you are carrying a wonderful little "beanie" inside of you!

Aww, hold on you'll get through it!!

Oh my.....

I had DD's the entire time I was in high school and that was soooo not cool! I was constantly teased and earned the nick name "Big D". I hated it! So I got a breast reduction and was a borderline C/D . What a huge differnce! Im am currently back to almost a DD since I have gained alot of weight and I am dreading the day I get pregnant and they get bigger...
Hang in there :)

Part of me wants to tell you the honest truth and part of me doesn't want to scare you.

I'm just gonna spill it....

Your boobs will never be the same. They will eventually shrink back down but then they just get saggy :-( Enjoy the fullness now!

One day, I would love to have a reduction and lift.

Jennifer said...

After you finish breast feeding they will most likey go back down at least to a C maybe even the B.. there just might be more sagging :(

eek! sorry friend. i have no advice. but i love you!

ha ha i know what you mean about losing and gaining boobs with weight, i use to have bigger boobs but when i started running they shrank down. and now I feel like if i wear a sports bra I look like a rail.. (YESSSS ha ha) but anyways, you're going to have a baby, and i'm sure that you still look hot! :)

Southern said...

Just enjoy it - they will go back, more than likely, just give it some time after baby comes. Think of it as the only time in your life you can eat and not feel guilty about it - and DON'T feel guilty about it!

Oh honey! I've got some natural DDs and always wish I had smaller breasts. I'm with you that they just make me feel like I look heavier, so I'm always trying to downplay my chest. And, unfortunately, button up shirts are pretty much out for me.

But, I'm sure you look fabulous :).

I have some hope for you. After my first one my boobs went down a size. That was after I was through breast feeding. I just had my second one 3 months go and my boobs got bigger this time then they did the first. I am hoping they go back down like they did before. My mom's did and so did a good friend of mine. My mom was a double DD before children and now she is a B. So there is hope.

Oh girl try living with DD's on a daily basis! I have cursed these things for years!! It sucks when a Md button up shirt will fit but you have to go up to a L just to get it to button! I'm so worried about what it will be like when I get preggers....I might crawl in a closet and never come out!

M&K said...

I'm only 11 weeks and mine are already swelling which means they will be unrully by the time all this is over!
I am also battling body image issues however all my girlfriends that have gone before are encouraging me to embrace my new shapes and eat as healthily as possible.

Kelly said...

See, this makes me very nervous. I have DDs (natural) and I am NOT pregnant! I am so scared for what could happen when I do! I have those shirt problems all the time. I usually have to buy my shirts a size larger for it. I have always wanted to have a perfect C... grass is always greener I guess! ha!

You'll get thru and I'm sure you are very cute pregnant.

*~! megs !~* said...

well i have nothing helpful to say.. but i still think you're adorable!!

The Shabby Princess said...

LOL. Girl, I wish I had that problem. Mine are itty to begin with--couple working out and dieting and I feel like I'm 13 again. There's nothin' there anymore!

I'm so sorry that you're struggling with body issues--I'm sure that's how I'll be when I get pregnant too-I'll want to still look good--after all, losing weight is hard work! But, you're growing a little human life, and that my dear, is pretty freakin' awesome.

hugs!

I know the feeling. When I was pregnant with my son I went to a DD. A person asked my co-worker if I got a boob job (I didn't look pregnant - just very busty). I started wearing the bra top camisoles because I was sick of guessing which size I was. Pregnancy does strange but wonderful things. Enjoy it though!

I'm sure you look gorgeous, huge boobs and all...I'd die to have something more than a mosquito bite so I'm having trouble being empathetic here! ;-)

The Ross Family said...

Oh, you just wait until your stomach is huge! Then you'll be real concerned about your body image! lol

My boobs grew quite a bit too, but now seemed to have stopped. But, once the baby is born, and my milk comes in, it will be another story!

luckeelady said...

I just want to say that THEY WILL GET BIGGER believe me, when your milk comes in and if you breastfeed. I'm used to almost C's and I loved it when I was breastfeeding because I already lost most of the weight and I had big boobs... made me feel sexy. This pregnancy I am 14 weeks today and I feel like I'm already a whole size bigger too but it doesn't bother me.

I'm terrified that mine will get a lot bigger with pregnancy. Luckily I won't have to worry about that for a while yet.

For your fashion/body image concerns I thought I'd share this wonderful daily fashion blog with you if you don't know about it already. E. is pregnant and exploring the new fashions she can wear with her new silhouette. I hope you like it!

Regarding the comment you left, Don't worry with first pregnancies most don't feel it until 16-20 weeks. It all depends too on how little you were before and where the baby is lying because of implantation. Don't worry I bet you will for sure feel it this next week or so. I'm totally surprised by how early I'm feeling it, but then again it is my 2nd and I know what to feel for... I sure wasn't skinny before. :)

I'm not pregnant (and haven't been) but I have always been a D/DD since I quit "developing." I'm not overweight, but I am hoping that I will lose some in my bust as I am exercising and eating better because I hate being this big up top. It does make it hard to fit into some clothes (especially dresses) and I feel so out there! Oh well - I know I need to be happy with what God gave me. Hope you have a great weekend!

When I lost twenty pounds I went from a C to a B and have been mourning the loss of my boobs ever since. However...I'm not sure how I feel about D's and if I'm anything like my mom that's where they are headed while pregnant.

I think it's refreshing to hear someone being so honest and upfront about their pregnancy. :)

You are fabulous pregnant boobs and all!!! Love ya!!! XOXO

Instead of buying more bras, you should buy some of those maternity bras...not pretty or sexy, I know, but they really are the most versatile and will fit your ever expanding chest.

Gina said...

Not that it will help much but you're beautiful! : ) As Tara suggested, embrace it!

I am trying to get pregnant and I am looking forward to the big boobs — but maybe it will not be so great? Also, do they shrink later and does that look ok? Just some thoughts. Everything will be worth it when the baby arrives!!! ( :

morewineplease said...

sweet girl, its all a part of the package, and yes they go away pretty quickly if you are not breast feeding.
If it makes you feel better, my 5'1" self was in an F when I was prego... talk about misery!!!!!

Naturally Caffeinated Family said...

i hear ya girl!! i know exactly how you feel and i could have written the last paragraph exactly =) i know you look absolutely gorgeous and are a super cute preggy mama!=)

i have to say though, i totally agree with now being ok with my smaller ladies but def enjoy a little cleavage while preggy, haha! (and def get a new bra to be more comfy girl, even if you have to go up another size a little later on, it's worth it, because you can still use them as you're coming down from nursing or post preggy and the next times around too=)!)

Kitty Cat said...

My boobs are bigger, but not by much yet, about a size, but they still fit into my bra's, it's just my cleavage is a little fuller. I don't really want them to get bigger, as I don't want to have to buy new bra's just for a short while. It's a pain in the ass isn't it?
