I have received several emails and some sweet coments :) I wanted to address this statement...
When I said "I have something in the works that I can't quite mention yet, so you will have to wait a little longer to find out." what I was speaking of is a surprise for someone who reads my blog so I can't say! I have been busy planning for that surprise!! :)
Silly girls :)
Love you all! Hugs!

You won't believe what I got to witness Sunday night in honor of my best friend, Jackie's birthday... We went to Atlanta to see Dancing with the Stars LIVE!!! It was so fun!! It was part of their tour, however, I have to say, it was mostly Dancing with the "Professionals"!! The "stars" really didn't perform that much. The only celebs there were: Lance Bass, Toni Braxton, Cody Lindley, Marlee Matlin and Maurice Greene! Kinda sad huh! But I guess celebs have other work to do! I was kind of disappointed about that but honestly watching the pros was much more entertaining!! CRAZY good!! They make it look so dang easy!! Like the are floating on air!! It made me and Jackie want to be professional dancers... although I am pretty sure that is out of our reach at this point. Maybe 10 years ago when we were cheerleaders!!
Our seats were great. We could see really well and the highlight of the night was FOR SURE... Maks and Derek Hough ripping their shirts off (I kid, I kid). They are all such talented dancers. But dancing aside... guess what else we got to see... Toni Braxton perform LIVE! She performed "Unbreak My Heart" and "Breathe Again"!! It was crazy good. She definitely was singing live not lip singing!! It was great! Another highlight!!
The show was quite long, but it was very entertaining!! If they are coming to a city near you I highly recommend going to check it out if you love the show!!
Next season starts March 9th for those of you DWTS lovers :)

Bama Belle... said... I love that we are all playing this game! (and your last post made me so homesick for the flora-bama! ah, good times there!) How did you and hubs meet? And when do we get to meet?
It's such a long story how we met but it's a good one so bare with me here!
I moved to Smalltown, GA to take a job with a company here. Hubs worked there too. My boss thought it would be a good idea to introduce us since he went to Auburn too. So he did. Well he offered to take me out to meet some people since I know NO ONE! We went to dinner with a few coworkers. He followed me home from dinner and picked me up to take me to a little bar here. I had so much fun that night. When he brought me home, he walked me to the door. (so sweet)! At the time I had a boyfriend back home and he was dating someone too, so it was a friendly hug and good night and he was off. Well that was June 2005. I broke up with my boyfriend from home that same month and began dating someone else here in Smalltown, GA in July. It was the owner of the company's son (bad idea). It didn't get serious until late August. I left that company in September and by the end of Nov, I was engaged. I knew he wasn't the one, but I thought he was so nice. He thought he could buy my love, honestly now that I look back. 4 months after that (March 06) I called off the engagement. He wasn't right for me, I wasn't right for him. I was not in love with him and really I don't think he was me either. As it turns out, he was a compulsive liar. Everyone knew that but me, because I was new here. Explains why he proposed so fast! So after I called off that engagement, I started hanging out with my dear friend, M, who just so happens to be good friends with Hubs. We hung out one night for M's birthday and that was basically it. It was a slow process for him, but I knew I was in love with him within a month or so! He eventually came around to "loving me" (ha)!
The cool part about this is, after we started dating, we figured out we actually had some of the same friends at Auburn (weird considering that that school has 30,000 students). So we are pretty sure that we crossed paths at Auburn at some point and checked each other out :) ha! It's funny how life works out, but for me, God's plan for me is perfect!! Everything happens for a reason. I know that now more than ever!! My husband is the best man I know. He would do anything for me, and I for him. Amazing how God works!

How 'bout this: Where do you shop/or favorite place to shop? You ALWAYS have the cutest clothes on so I'm curious. Glad you are back!
Thank you for your sweet comment girl. You are too precious!
Honestly I don't have a favorite place. I have MANY places that I shop. See, I love bargains! I love discounts!! To me, the fun part is piecing an outfit together one piece at a time! So I shop all over. Some of my favorites are: Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Express, The Limited, TJ Maxx, Ross, Target, Victoria's Secret, Gap, Dillards, Macy's, Belk... I could go on and on! Seriously, any and everywhere that has cute clothes and bargains, I am there :)
Your nail polish in the beach pics is so pretty! Do you mind sharing the brand and color? Thanks!
Thanks girl! It's Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear, Purple PotionFrost (13) (Walmart-$3) Loved it!
I haven't been around too long, so you can just direct me to the post if you've already answered these!Where did you and your hubby meet? Are your toenails always painted? What color? What is your favorite thing to cook?Favorite thing to eat? What is your favorite hair care product?I think that's enough to get you started.
The Hubs questions is above :)
No I don't paint my toenails in the winter :) No need to! But I do keep my nails painted. These days they are either: red, navy blue, purple, black, maroon.
I love cooking pasta dishes for hubs. He loves any and everything in them and I love cooking with lots of ingredients :)
Favorite thing to eat... PASTA and PIZZA... Mmmmm!
I love my Joico, K-Pak Smoothing Balm, it helps so much with fly aways!!

What did you get your degree in and when did you graduate college? Can I babysit your puppies if I'm ever in your town? I have several "go to" outfits that make me feel fantastic--what are yours?
Public Relations, May 2005.
You can babysit my furbabies anytime :)
My go to outfit right now is my 7 skinny jeans and my leather jacket. Even if I throw on a tiny tee under it, I feel sexy and kind of like a 'bad ass" hahahahaha!
If you could have one calorie laden, most heavenly, sinful, no holds barred meal, what would it be?
Now this is TOUGH!! One of three things...
A Large Cheese pizza with banana peppers (the whole dang thing)!
All the tacos I can eat with all the salsa and chips I want!
Olive Garden salad and breadsticks, cheese funduta & fettucine alfredo (Mmmm-I am dying over here now) :)

Do you have any siblings? Are you close with them? This is a good idea, by the way!
I have four half brothers! I am the only child from my parents. One brother, Joey, is my mom's son. He is 38. We lived together from the time I was born (he was 12) til he was in his 20s, so he is my closest brother, but we aren't close now! We talk occasionally, and when we do we still act like bro and sis. The other three brothers all range in age from 39-43. They are from my dad's first marriage. We aren't close at all and never have been that I remember. I love them and they love me, but we have never been close. It was hard because they were so much older than me.
Have you branched out from white zin? If not, I dare you to try white merlot! You will fall in love.=)
Acutally I did. It's called Riunite Lambrusco. It's red, but fruity and I liked it. I promise to try White Merlot soon :) Thanks chica :)
Have you ever met Dale Jr or any other driver? What race tracks have you been to? Which one is your favorite (to go to or watch on TV)?
I haven't ever met Dale Jr, but I would loooove to. I might pass out!! I sat next to Michael Waltrip and Darrell Waltrip at an event I planned. I have met several older drivers that are retired that most people don't recognize. Talladega and Atlanta are my favorite races!! Hands down. Bristol is good too! And of course, Daytona!! Pocono is becoming a favorite :)
First of all congrats on the amazing weight loss! You look great! I have been in your same situation and lost a lot of weight myself...what is your absolute favorite healthy dish to cook?
Honestly, because I am so picky, my favorite healthy thing to eat is Wheat pasta & Paul Newmans Marinara Sauce. I love carbs and pasta and this is just my fave. I could eat it every day! But I try to give my body a break off of carbs every now and then :)

Okay yay!I want to ask you what your favorite thing is about living in Georgia and if it is where you want to reside permanantly or if you would rather live in a different state? Also, I'd love to know how close you are to goal for WW and how you are planning to celebrate once you reach it?
My favorite thing about living in GA is where I live I am so centrally located. I am 1 hour from the ATL airport. 1.5 hours from the best shopping in the south (ATL). 45 minutes from my wonderful alma mater, Auburn. 1.5 hours from my family.
I have always lived in small towns. But I would love to end up in Birmingham, AL or right outside of it. It's a growing city and it's only 45 minutes from my parents. But it's not nearly as big as ATL. It's a beautiful city and I love Alabama. It's where I was born and raised. But I am also learning to love GA more and more!
I have actually reached my goal for WW. My goal was 140. I lost 24 pounds since Oct 1st. Now that I have reached that, I am strictly trying to find a way to maintain it! I know it will go up and down, up and down. It's different trying to balance my calories and points to not lose anymore. But I am working on it. My reward to myself is to flaunt a bikini this summer like never before and do it with the utmost confidence :)

all have in common???
Well let's just say that they had a little meeting Sunday night at the Flora-Bama!!!! Note to self... after having a couple of Red bull & vodka drinks, don't put your phone in your back pocket and think it's ok to squat to tinkle!! Odds are the phone will slide out when you are standing back up to pull your pants up and slip right into the toilet (where you just peed)!! And then you will, in a panic, grab the phone and try to rinse it out under the faucet!! (GENIUS-like that helps!!) Everyone will laugh at you and tell you how smart you are! Then you will spend three days without a phone. SUPER!
Yeah-that happened to me!! SERIOUSLY!!!!
Yeah I had just downloaded a $8 game and had like 5 ring tone credits left!! GONE GONE GONE!!!
This was super fun and I promise to answer them all... a few at a time. Feel free to keep asking :)
If you could relive any moment over again - what would it be and why?
If I could relive any moment over again it would have to be when I said I do. It was such a powerful moment to be saying that to my best friend. To say I will spend FOREVER with you, in God's church, was such an eye opening experience. I was making a Biblical commitment to spend the rest of my life with him. It was so touching. I got choked up looking in his eyes when I was saying that. It was just so surreal. I would do that over everyday!!

You're always talking about traveling for work, which sounds like so much fun! So, what do you do for a living? How did you decide on this career and is it related to what you studied in college?
Honestly, when I graduated with my degree in Public Relations, I had just completed an internship with NASCAR affiliated International Motorsports Hall of Fame. I thought I would stay in NASCAR because I loved it and event planning was my niche!! But no opportunities came my way that were close enough to home. I never wanted to be further than 2-3 hours from my family. I just couldn't. I didn't really "decide" on this career. It kind of fell in my lap and I have just stayed put :) I am the Associate Director of Admissions for a small private college here in GA. I love my job, but the one thing I don't love is the salary. But I guess sometimes happiness is worth more than money huh? I plan events and am in constant contact with incoming students. I really do enjoy coming to work everyday. It's rewarding because I am helping people everyday and I get to do what I like, where my true passion lies, I plan events :)

How did you decide to get your puppies, and where did you find them?
I have always wanted a Shih Tzu. I don't know where the obsession started or when. But I have always wanted a small/fluffy dog! My mom actually picked Dansby out because I was off at college and she found a breeder not too far from my hometown. Dansby came from a breeder in Oxford, AL. My mom called me to see what color I wanted. I told her to just pick the sweetest, most attentive one. And she said, "There's a solid black one, and apparently they are rare and I can just see you now, walking down the street with your black hair and this precious fluffy little dog." So she chose him. He is a true joy in my life. I had no idea you could love a non-human this much!
Daizy came from a breeder in Montgomery, AL. I went to the ladies house and she had at least 50 dogs in her house. I was devastated at what I saw. She was a breeder of several different breeds. Daizy just wouldn't leave me alone and Dansby liked sniffing her (and he doesn't always like ALL dogs) so I picked her!! I wanted Dansby to have a companion, that is why I got her! And they are now BFF. After he ignored me and pouted for a month!!

I'm fairly new to your blog, so bear with me if I missed this one...How did your two precious pups come into your lives? And how did you come up with their names?
See above :) How did I come up with their names. Well, Karlos Dansby was a Linebacker for Auburn while I was in college. I LOVED HIM!! He was so articulate and smart and he was an AMAZING football player! (FYI He plays for the Arizona Cardinals and they are playing in the Super Bowl Feb 1) So I thought, everyone names their dogs, Aubie (after our mascot) or Tubby (after our coach) so I picked my favorite player and WALAH :) With Daizy, I knew I wanted it to start with a "D" and end in "Y" but I had no idea what. So I googled and searched and I thought Daizy was fitting because she is such a girly girl, little princess :)

Haha! Looks like two of us had the same idea! Fine, sigh lol. New question: You are stuck on a desert island without your Mr. Wonderful. You do, however, get the following. What/Who would they be? (Girl, these were tough-but FUN FUN) :)
1: Gorgeous male celebrity Gerard Butler
2: Snack food Macaroni & Cheese
3: Fashion item High Heels
4: Music CD (assuming you have a portable CD player on this island) Britney
5: Fashion item Bathing suit
6: One practical item (pocket knife, matches, etc.) Cell phone
Oh goodness - where do I start? First off, when are you coming to TX to visit? (okay, but seriously) Let's see - what is one of your biggest pet peeves? What famous person would you like to invite to dinner?
Girl, I wish I could come this weekend. I have only been to Houston once and it was a very short trip (for a wedding). Let's see if I can get Hubs to take me there SOON :) K?
One of my biggest pet peeves... honestly... these days its people complaining about their weight and then doing NOTHING about it. I realize it's so hard to lose weight. I do know that! But just don't complain if you aren't going to be proactive!!
I would love to have a double date dinner with Brad and Angelina. I love them and all they do!! :)

What is your most embarrassing moment? And seriously, when are you coming to Dallas to visit??????
Girl, I am coming to Dallas to visit soon. I swear. I have always wanted to visit there, but now that you are there I AM DYING TO!!
My most embarrassing moment... it has to be when I was in 9th grade I was a cheerleader, I was trying to impress a boy and I decided that doing 6 back handsprings in a row was a great idea. Well on the 6th one, I slipped and landed on my head and my knees. I was humiliated!! I ran off the court crying!! At that age, it was so traumatizing!! Everyone laughed and I was mortified. It makes me have chills even to this day!! :)

I will answer the questions several at a time over several days!! Can't wait to see what creative questions you come up with :)

So sorry for the "just now" update! I didn't take my computer to the beach (for fear of having my eyes glued to it all weekend), Monday I was off of work, traveling back home and Tuesday I had to travel for work. So I am just now catching up on 5 days worth of blog reading so I will go ahead and apologize for lack of commenting. I am trying to catch up, but I am afraid it probably won't happen.
On top of missing blogging for 5 days, I have had MUCHO work to catch up on today. I have a huge event Feb 7th and it's requiring a lot of my time these days (as it should but dang I got used to blogging all day-ha-kidding).
I have had several things going on, all to be revealed in time, but I am just a crazy busy lady!! Non stop, on the go, can't catch my breath... that kind of busy!
But about the beach... it was WONDERFUL!! We had so much fun (a little too much actually). I am still catching up and recouping! I am tired... so tired. Let me just say how DEAD the beach was and how empty every where was, but we had an absolute blast.
We went to a little local bar two nights, for a little karaoke. Then Sunday night we went to the Flora-Bama. It's an awesome bar that straddles the Alabama/Florida state line! It was tons o' fun!
I ran Saturday and Sunday morning. I ran about 3-4 miles each day. Along the beach! It was FANTASTIC. Probably some of the best running I have done to date!! So beautiful to have different scenery to look at. And let me tell you, although it was a little chilly, it was so beautiful down there. We even laid out one day for like 2 or so hours. I got some sun :) yippee! Am I getting sick though, thanks to that genius idea :) ha
Here are some pics from the weekend!! They are quite fun!! :)
Singing "Love Shack"
Breaking it down to who knows what!! We are quite the dancers :)
Shake your groove thang!
At "The Hangout"
My little friends I made while on the beach!! They were so cute and loved Wheat Thins!
Out and about!!
First night there. It was a long drive and I needed a pick me up! (well mission accomplished)
Hubs and I our first night. We had to eat Mexican. Nothing else was open!!

I am heading to Gulf Shores, Alabama!! Like I mentioned earlier in the week, we are going to a friends condo on the beach down there with two other couples for a fun/relaxing weekend!! I am quite excited about getting away and just hanging out and having a few drinks! And probably FINALLY breaking into Twilight!!
but I have a feeling this weekend it will feel more like this...
Either way it will be fun to just BE AT the beach! I hope all you ladies have a great weekend! Be back Tuesday with lots of pictures I am sure!
It's 2 minutes and 44 seconds long! I am begging you to watch this! If you love animals, it will make your DAY! I promise!! Happy Friday ladies!

My never ending list of MUST HAVE/GOTTA HAVE/RIGHT NOW THIS MINUTE list is this! I am now in full blown bathing suit mode, I can't help myself! (even though it feels like -54 degrees outside)
After Tuesday post about Victoria's Secret's new Swimwear, I received an email from Urban Outfitters about this FANTASTIC Betsey Johnson suit!! I am drooling like you wouldn't believe over this! Seriously, the smocked ruffles, the velvet bow, the rosette, the buttons, the awesome yellow color (lemonade)! Isn't it just FANTASTIC?
However, my wallet is not drooling (so much as throwing up) over the price. ($228)! WHAT?/ I know right? It's awful! I love me some designer things, but I feel like this will never happen!! It's so little clothing for so much $! But maybe it will go on sale at some point??? ha-yeah right!
Oh my dear & oh so fabulous Betsey... I love your clothing so, why must this TINY suit, that only covers my "tatas" and my "who ha", that I will wear very little, cost so much!! Could you please replicate this and put it in your Target line?? Pretty pleeeease?????
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
3/4 pound(s) uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
1/4 tsp table salt, or to taste
1/8 tsp black pepper, or to taste
1 spray(s) cooking spray
4 tsp fat-free mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice, for dressing
4 large burrito-size wheat flour tortilla(s)
1/2 small red onion(s), thinly sliced
2 cup(s) mixed baby greens
8 medium basil, leaves
1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp fresh lemon juice, for sprinkling on wrap
In a small, shallow bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, flour, and paprika. Season both sides of chicken with salt and pepper; dredge in seasoning mixture and turn to coat.
Coat a large, nonstick pan with cooking spray and set over medium-high heat. Add chicken to pan and saute until cooked through, about 1 to 2 minutes per side; remove from pan and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning; spread 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise mixture over each tortilla. Layer each with 1/4 of onion, greens, basil and chicken; sprinkle with fresh lemon juice, roll up and serve. Yields 1 wrap per serving. Only 4 points per serving!

I know it's not QUITE time yet to order, but now my mind is in "summer mode!" And going to the beach this weekend won't help! (But considering it's supposed to be 50 degrees-I'm sure I will snap out of it!) The cold has set in here in GA, and I will admit I like it, but I am ready for summertime!!
In other FASHION news! I sometimes send out emails to my mom and Hubs and the subject says... "NEED!" They know what it will be before they even open it. It's something that I am secretly wanting and I am just letting them know (er, wanting them to purchase)!! And this morning my sweet mother, replied with a "Yes you do! What size?" I was PUMPED!! So this little beauty is on it's way to me!!! Thanks MOM!! It's on mega sale and will be perfect for the wedding(s) I have coming up!
And speaking of THANKS... Krystyn over at Really, Are you serious? had a fabulous giveaway and GUESS WHO WON??? ME!! I couldn't believe it! I am one lucky girl!! Thanks girl for doing such a fun giveaway!! I love love your blog and we must do lunch soon. (PS-I will be in ATL for work some at the end of January-just throwing that out there) It's so ironic that I won, because the post she did about the giveaway she made a butterfly cake and I am going to make the exact same cake for my best friend's birthday! She (we shall call her Jack) turns 26 January 25th and she is coming to Smalltown, GA to celebrate! I can't wait to bake her that cake and give it to her :)

Many tears were shed. I don't mean small tears running down my cheeks...
Friday, January 9, 2009
... where to start!! So for some reason I am having writers block. Maybe it's because the new year has brought CALM to my life. Which I am happy to accept! Or maybe it's because Hubs and I have such a busy Spring that we are taking it easy in January. Nevertheless, I must post, it is, after all, my duty! :) ha!
So, let's see, what to POST about today... oh yes let me start with WHY I DIDN'T POST YESTERDAY!! I think most of you know I work for a college... well yesterday a mom and son visited our college and the son was interested in our Art program. So off we went in the van that we tour our "south" campus in! (it's like half a mile from the main campus). So we get to the art building, go in, tour, come out and load back in the van... when what happens??? I turn the key and the dang thing won't start. Now I don't know much about cars, but I can tell you that when you turn the key and NOTHING happens, something is WRONG!! Well, I didn't carry my cell phone and thank goodness the student visiting had his because otherwise I would have been traipsing down the road and up the hill to our campus in 4 inch heels!! I am a heel wearer I can't help it, I feel naked without them!! I wear them all the time, unless I am shopping! I digress... thank goodness that it was before 5 pm because someone in my office had to come pick us up! Can you say HUMILIATING???? I was so embarrassed. This isn't' the first time that this has happened with this van either. It's all the time tore up and I have no idea why. It's our dang TOURING van. Not our "we travel long distances and rag it out" van! Weird! So that's my excuse for not blogging yesterday!! :)
And I HAVE to share my new LOVE!! Seriously girls. Let me first say I am not a huge salad dressing fan, ok! I like ranch and Olive Garden's and that's it!! At home I use Hidden Valley Fat Free Ranch when I do eat a salad. I like it pretty well but I don't LOVE it at all! Well I recently discovered my love for CAESAR salads... I mean L.O.V.E.!!! So i thought I would try a Lite version but I didn't know what would be good and what would... well... suck! So I first grabbed Ken's Lite Creamy Caesar, well because it was the only one I could find! Ok, well... HUBS AND I LOOOOOVE IT! If you like Caesar salads, grab up some of this. It's to die for! And for 2 tablespoons it's only 2 WW points!! I could eat just a salad with this dressing and a few crackers for a meal. REALLY! It's so good. I have had three salads this week with it. And I am off today to go buy some more lettuce after a 3 mile run :)
Speaking of WW... check out Make Mine a Mojito's posts here and here! She has great advice for you ladies getting started with WW or dieting in general!!
And don't forget about the new blog Weight Watchers Changed My Life!! It's great!! WONDERFUL tips!!
I hope you all have a great weekend! We are off to meet up with another couple tonight at a little wine/dessert place here in Smalltown, GA tonight called Ou La La. There's a little band playing so we will relax and enjoy some wine! No dessert for me, thank goodness I am not a sweet eater! Then tomorrow my parents are coming in town and we are going to see "Marley and Me" and I am cooking a healthy dinner :) I am prepared to cry my eyes out at the movie! I will have plenty of tissues! Many of my friends have advised me NOT to go see it due to how much I love dogs. I can't help it. I have to!!
Hey and girls... make sure to go on over to Chapters and read Amy's mom's post! It's remarkable what she is doing and Amy is a wonderful, inspiring young woman, who I am proud to call a friend!!

It's a NEW YEAR and you know what that means... most people use this time of year to start something NEW! And that something new is usually a "diet"! Well I am here to tell you that "starting" a diet means that one day it will "end!" And you can't do that or all the weight will come right back. So look at it this way, Use 2009 as a time to start a NEW LIFESTYLE! New ways of eating, new ways of exercising, a new you!
I have said it before, and I will say it again... Weight Watchers is a lifestyle change. It's not something you can follow for a year or so and then stop. You can't do that with any "diet." You have to look at WW as something you plan to do forever. Now, might you splurge once in a while, sure and that's ok. You can't beat yourself up over it! But it's a change you have to make permanent!
I have talked with several bloggers through email about how I lost my weight and they have asked me what I ate to do so. So I thought what better way to share than to explain my diet and exercise plan. This will be VERY helpful to those of you who are PICKY. I don't eat meat very often and I hate veggies. So how did I do it?? For me it was a simple calculation! You can check out my post here to see what I mean. You need to calculate your TEE (total energy expenditure ). It is the number of calories you burn in a day. So here is how I kept up with that. My TEE was 2869.76. So I knew that as long as I ate less than that per day I would lose. Well I eat WAY less than that. I eat 1200 calories a day. Some days I might have 1400 but no more! I do still follow WW, but I also watch my calories. With WW I am allowed 21 points. I don't go to meetings anymore. I have all the literature and I know how many points I am allowed and I honestly use this blog as my "keep me accountable" place! It takes the place of my meetings... thanks to WWW. I really feel lots of support from you lovely ladies. Thank you so much!
The reality is... IT'S HARD... IT'S NOT ALWAYS FUN... SOMETIMES IT'S FRUSTRATING... BUT IT'S WORTH IT!! October 1, I weighed in at 164, the biggest I have ever been. My size 10's were getting snug and it was time to take control back over my eating! My problem was the weekends. I would diet Mon-Thurs and then binge on the weekends. And I was gaining. That showed me that you can't "diet" you have to make a lifestyle change. So I did! And I am now 141 and a size 4/6. And I couldn't be happier. I don't know another time when I felt as confident about my body as I do today. Sure there are things I would love to change, but I finally love my body for what it is! I feel comfortable and I am so glad. Over 3 months I shed 23 pounds. I never thought I could do it that quickly. But it just fell off. Between changing my diet and continuing my 4-5 day a week hour and a half workouts, I had great success. My mind set changed. I began looking at food in a different way. Not as something I WANTED but as something I NEEDED. It's my body's fuel to live. Food is for fuel not fun!! I realize some people may think "What kind of life is that to live if you can't enjoy your food?" Honestly, I do enjoy my food. Like I said earlier, I don't eat lots of meat or veggies. They aren't my fave foods and it's realistic for me to give up something that I love (like pasta, rice, bread). That whole NO CARB thing DOESN'T work and it isn't healthy! Trust me! You need carbs, fat and calories. It's WHAT you eat that makes a huge difference!
Because this is something I am so passionate about and have learned so much about over the past several months (and year) if you ever want to email me a questions about WW or lifestyle changes or workouts please do. I am currently helping several people turn their lives around. And I love helping others find happiness within themselves!! It doesn't matter what the magazines tell you, you SHOULD look like it's how you feel about YOU! So email me with any questions. I will keep whatever we talk about between me and you :) (firstname.lastname@example.org)
I want to share what a typical weeks meals are for me. Now, please understand... I AM SUPER PICKY!! I mean bad! My husband gets different means than me. I eat the same thing all the time until I find something new I like. He loves veggies and meats so he gets more yummy healthy meals. Mine are quite simple and boring but I love them. They helped me tremendously over the past three months and still going strong today :) Now, I am going to share the recipes too so here ya go ladies: (if you have any questions about any of the recipes please feel free to leave me a comment with your email or email me)
1. ¾ cup of Special K with ½ cup of 2% milk
2. ½ cup of Dannon Light and Fit Strawberry Yogurt and 1 Quaker 100 calorie bar
3. 1 packet of Cheddar Cheese Grits & One slice of Light Wheat bread with a little spray butter
4. Broiled eggs. Only eat the egg whites. Take one cooked egg, scoop out the yellow (throw away-that’s where ALL the fat and cholesterol is) and mash the white up and put it on a piece of bread with a little spray butter and salt and pepper. You could even have two of these. You will be surprised how filling this is. I like this!!
3. Quaker 100 calorie bar
4. 100 calorie popcorn
5. 5 crackers with wing sauce (the fat free/calorie free kind that I can't live without)
1. Grilled Cheese: Two slices of light wheat bread & 1 slice of 2% cheese with a little spray butter. With 5 or 10 crackers.
2. 1 Carb Smart or Fat Free tortilla with ½ cup of chili beans, salsa, small sprinkle of cheese and lettuce. Then eat a piece of fruit.
3. LC pizza or Ravioli (only if you need to grab something quick on the go)
4. Subway turkey (no cheese or mayo-get mustard) and no chips. Bring your own crackers or FF Pringles!
Snack: See above
1 FF or Carb Smart Tortilla
¾ cup of Fat Free Mozzarella Cheese
½ cup of Newman’s Own Marinara Sauce
17 Turkey Pepperonis (cooked for 1 minute 30 seconds in the microwave)
Pepper rings-however many you want
You can add any veggies like: peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.
Take your tortilla, spread the sauce, then the cheese, then add the pepperonis, then all the veggies. I always add a little garlic powder and salt. Cook it on 350 for about 15 minutes. I always fold mine over like a sandwich. It’s very filling. Have that and one of your desserts or piece of fruit!
1 zucchini (diced)
1 medium onion (diced)
1/3 cup of banana pepper rings (cut up)
½ cup of sliced black olives
1 tbsp of minced garlic (or you could use garlic salt)
Could add also: jalapeno pepper, mushrooms (I did)
1 can of diced tomatoes undrained
16 oz or wheat rotini pasta
2 tbsp of chili powder
Parmesan cheese as desired. I say about two or three tbsp.
Cook the rotini.
Over medium heat, spray some Pam Spray and cook the garlic and onion. Then add the zucchini and peppers. Cook all until tender. Then add the chili powder, tomatoes and olives and whatever else you add. Bring to a boil them reduce to low heat. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the drained rotini and stir well and serve with the Parm. Cheese.
Yum! (according to Hubs) and the only fat & calories you have is the pasta. This will make 4-6 servings. So you should have about 1 ½ cups cooked. Maybe with a small side salad with FF dressing. This will be very filling and around 350-400 calories max!
1 FF or Carb Smart Tortilla
¼ pound of Extra Lean Ground Beef
Small sprinkle of FF Mozz cheese
½ cup of chili beans
(sometimes I leave out the tortilla and make a taco salad)
PS—this is enough to make two tacos if you are really hungry. The meat makes more than you think. Sometimes I have two. Sometimes just one. If you make two it only adds 90 calories for the 2nd tortilla. The calories for this is around 350. For one. 400 for 2! NOT BAD AT ALL. And very filling!
Cook the beef and sprinkle about ¼ of a pack of taco seasoning and add a little water. Let it simmer about 5 minutes. Heat the beans. Add that to the taco. Add cheese. Lettuce and all the salsa you want.
Keep the left over beans for a side another night or for a bean taco for lunch.
Black Bean and Corn Quesadilla
(I haven’t tried this yet but I am gonna-for Hubs of course)
Spray of Pam
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 (10 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 tablespoon brown sugar (I will leave this out)
1/4 cup salsa
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
8 (8 inch) FF or Carb Smart Tortillas
1 1/2 cups shredded 2% or FF Cheese
Heat Pam Spray in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in onion, and cook until softened, about 2 minutes. Stir in beans and corn, then add sugar, salsa, and pepper flakes; mix well. Cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
Spray the tortilla with butter and place it in a large skillet over medium heat. Then, sprinkle evenly with cheese (1/2 cup), then top with some of the bean mixture. Place another tortilla on top, cook until golden, then flip and cook on the other side. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
Calories: Less than 300 cal per quesadilla. You could make the whole mix and freeze it for later meals.
¼ pound of Extra Lean Ground Beef
1 slice of 2% cheese
Onion (if you like)
Marinate the beef in a little Dales sauce. Cook it on top of the stove with no oil til done. Add cheese. Then place it on one leaf of lettuce and put mustard/ketchup and other toppings. Top with another piece of lettuce. Cut it and eat it like a steak. Really is filling. But you could have it with baked potato fries! 5 WW Points!
Baked Potato Fries
1 medium potato
Peel and slice into small fries. Place on foil sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle with Seasoned Salt and some pepper.
Cook in the oven on 425 for 20 – 30 minutes. This is only ONE WW point!!
Chili O Meatless Chili
1 16 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 16 oz can of Chili beans
1/2 pack of Chili O Chili Mix
Mix and Heat! It's soooo good. I eat this at least twice a week. If you split this into two meals, it's only 3 WW points each meal and believe me. It's filling!
1 cup cooked whole wheat pasta
1/2 cup of Newmans Own Marinara
Plain and simple. Cook the pasta, drain! Add marinara and garlic powder. 4 WW Points

Let's start with "The Bachelor"...
I will admit. I am HOOKED on this show. I watched it for along time. I think like the first several seasons. Then I took a break because of college. My nights out took precedence over "The Bachelor." But Hubs and I (he was forced) started watching it again when Matt from England came on. Well I have been hooked back on it ever since. I will go ahead and say... I liked Deanna... really I did! I was rooting so much for her to find love! I mean she is from Newnan, GA and that is like 20 minutes from me. I shop there for goodness sake so I liked her before I even "knew" her. Well needless to say, I don't like her anymore. She picked who I thought was not right for her, Jesse, but then they convinced me they were perfect together and I loooooved them together! Then she broke his heart. And well... now... I am TEAM JESSE!!!! (Although I think he is dating a bachelorette from the "The Bachelor: London Calls" that I don't really like). I think she picked him because she thought it was the best thing to do for her "career." She is a fame loving person who I think did "The Bachelorette" to further her career. So there I am last night watching Jason, the new bachelor, I am getting all excited because I know he is now engaged and I am wondering who... when they show clips for the rest of the season and stinkin' Deanna comes back and says "I made a mistake picking Jesse!" WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! What!!!!!!!! You huzzy!!! I was quite angry. I was yelling at the TV, might have said one or two cuss words. Hubs and the pups were looking at me like I was crazy. I was so dang mad, I am getting all fired up again just thinking about it. Boo on that. It makes me mad that ABC even allowed her to walk back into his life. All I have to say is she better not be the one he's engaged to. I pray that this is her just "fame-whoring" herself out again (sorry for the harshness)! I will seriously be so sad if he picked her. Surely not. He's a smart man! Right? Oh I hope so!
So how many of you ladies watched it and what did you think??? I have a favorite or two... Miss Illinois is my fave so far! But there are several others I can see him with. And some I can DEF see not working out for him. Oh the suspense!!!
And now onto The Biggest Loser...
It starts tonight so what better time to get some motivation than now... with this new year we have and all! :) So make sure to tune into NBC for the two hour premiere! It's gonna be great! I am pumped... Hubs, not so much!! :) ha. We can discuss tomorrow as part of my WWW post that is sure to be GREAT! I promise. I will be sharing recipes and what it's like to be picky, not much of a meat or veggie eater and still lose 23 pounds in 3 months. (yeah I surprisingly lost 2 pounds during the holidays.) More on that tomorrow ladies!!! :)

So yeah... it's been almost 3 weeks since Christmas (wow) but I still wanted to share some of my First Married Christmas with you all! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but it really was a lovely Christmas! We are very fortunate to live in the same town with his parents and only 1.5 hours from mine, so we got to spend the holidays with both of our families. Yeah it was a little busy but so worth it and I wouldn't have it any other way!! Christmas Eve day we were with Hub's family. That night with mine, well part (My half brother from my mom's first marriage, my dad and mom). Christmas morning we opened RIDICULOUSLY awesomely large stockings from Santa (aka-my mom). They were actually Santa sacks (think like 3 or 4 feet tall) filled. She's awesome!! Then Christmas lunch and afternoon my dad's three sons from his first marriage come over and we all celebrate! So it was jammed but we were very blessed with wonderful gifts and memories to last a lifetime!! I took over 200 pictures but I am only posting a few :) Enjoy!
First up... some of my favorite gifts!!
From Mom! You all remember this post yes?? Well here it is... I got it! And I FREAKING LOVE IT!!! Finally I found one that I love!! And don't feel all "I just got off a Harley" in it!! :)
Guess who this was from?? Hubs might have been thinking about himself a little when he bought me this little number :) ha
And these... :)
To commemorate my weight loss... on Black Friday, mom and I went in search for me some designer jeans for Christmas. My very first pair. I have always been a Gap girl! Well I fell in love with these right when I put them on!! 7 For All Man Kind Roxanne in Mercer! They are fabulous and I will be purchasing MANY more in the future!!
I have been DYING for something "Lumberjack Plaid"! And Hubs knew this. I talked about it often. But I couldn't find anything that I liked at the right price. I didn't want to spend much because next year I will probably be painting in it because this look won't be "in style" long! He found this and when I opened it, I was so proud of him! He did great!
These pictures are from 4 different Christmas events so that's why I have different clothes on! I didn't do wardrobe changes-ha!
Hubs and I at his parents for Christmas Eve lunch!
