Little GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, that's right, come October we will have a sweet little girl in our arms and we can't wait!!!!!! We couldn't be more excited. Shocked (because I was convinced it was a little boy-and so was everyone else) but ECSTATIC!!!!!!! Today I had my 20 week appointment and we met our little baby girl!
So you know what that means??? SHOPPING CAN BEGIN!! And I can't wait! I have always been a shopoholic (I take after my mother and my daughter will, I'm sure, take after me)! She is sure to be one of the best dressed babies on the block! :) She got her first outfit today from her Grammy (my mom). It is adorable. I will have to post pics later!
The ultrasound technician had a hard time getting her to open her legs to which her dad replied "That's ok honey, you keep those little legs closed" :) I about died! But the tech said it was a girl and I was like "Huh? what??" Everyone and my dreams had me convinced it was a little boy in there. But God has blessed us with a little precious girl and I couldn't be more thrilled! She will be one loved little girl. Hubs parents have three grandsons. My dad has two grandsons and one granddaughter and one great granddaughter but this is my mom's first grandchild and she is THRILLED BEYOND WORDS! So there's much to be celebrated today! I just can't believe I have a sweet little girl, that in less than 5 moths will grace us with her presence and change our lives forever! I know the bond that I have with my mom is one of the best relationships I have and I look forward to that same bond!
I felt her move for the first time this weekend and I was so excited. According to "What to Expect When Expecting" she should be 6.5 inches long and weight 10 ounces. Well our little bundle of joy weighs 12.5 ounces and is 7 inches long! Right on track and growing like a weed!
I just wanted to share the news with you girls :) Thank you for all of your prayers and continued sweet comments and emails! You all are the best!
Here are a few pics from today's appt.
I am not announcing her name just yet, although we have decided on one :)

Straightener
Ladies...
I need a new straightener! I have no idea what to get. I have heard great things about Chi Straighteners and several others but I am THE MOST INDECISIVE PERSON EVER! I am willing to invest in a good one. I loved the last one I had. It worked for about 4 years but I am ready for something new and GOOD! I have naturally straight as a board hair but the ends do this funky wave thing so it's really just for the ends :) HELP!
I am open to any and all suggestions!
What is your fave?? What is the cost?? And where can I find the fabulousness?

What were we thinking?
So when we got bought our house, we knew there was work to be done. So little by little, we have made some progress! However, Monday we decided to tackle our next project...
OH MY! WHAT WERE WE THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!
You see, the master bathroom is made up of two rooms. One room has the vanity and sink and the other has a standing sink and the shower and toilet! Well, this room was painted a not so cute green color and really didn't go with the flow of the house. So I knew I wanted to paint it, I just wasn't sure what color. Well after living there a few weeks, I noticed that something strange was happening...
IS THAT WALLPAPER COMING OFF????????? Yes sir it was. So I told Hubs that had to come down so we could paint. And I thought since it was already peeling off it would come off so easy!
WRONG!
So... we were already into it because we had peeling some edges. It stopped coming off so easy!!!!!! And Hubs may have let some cuss words fly (and me too-a few)! I might have gotten so frustrated last night that I almost started crying. And have I mentioned that it's not on every wall, just the entire small room where the shower is and one wall where the sink and vanity is! SO WEIRD! The bathroom is a hot mess!!!!!!! That's where I get ready every morning. It's where I get clean and it's so filthy with pieces of wallpaper everywhere. I keep telling myself that it will get done eventually and look great but you see, I am not a patient person by trade... least patient person I know! So I am smiling (trying) and scrubbing and scraping my heart out trying to get it done as fast as possible.
I called Sherwin Williams today and asked them if they had any suggestions or if they rented out steamers for wallpaper. The guy giggled and we talked for a while about getting wallpaper down and what a pain in the ass it was! He then told me, "If you and your husband are still married after this project, you have a good thing going!" I died laughing!!! :) And it's true, my husband gets frustrated with the best of them and I have ZERO patience so it will make for an interesting little renovation but it guaranteed to look FAB when we are finished... here's what we got so far... HOTT MESSSSSSSSS!

Touching! YAY or NAY?
GREAT quote from Tori Spelling! I can sooooo relate (the the 1st part anyway)! And I worry about the 2nd part! I am liable to SLAP SOMEONE :) ha
"During both pregnancies, people touched my belly a lot. I would never do that to a pregnant woman—it's a personal thing. And if I did, I'd say, 'Your belly is so cute, can I touch it?' But when fans do it, I couldn't say, 'Please don't touch,' because then it would be 'What a bitch!' At a certain point, I just decided that [my second baby] Stella was getting a lot of love in there. After I'd given birth to Stella, some woman at the market grabbed my belly and asked when I was due. When she had the flab in her hand, she realized her mistake. And the first time I went out after I had Liam, the paparazzi were around and I remember trying to hold my stomach in, even though my muscles were shot to hell, because it's not like they want a story, 'Look at the happy couple, they just had a baby' they want, 'Do you see her stomach? We thought she already had the baby.' But I always say the weeklies build you up to tear you down. It's a funny cycle. The week before they were asking, 'Is she too thin?' they showed a picture of me in a bikini on the beach saying I looked great."

It's BUMP day
Well ladies, just so you all don't think I am lying when I say I am not really showing, I thought I would share my first bump pics with you on the beautiful (well at least here in GA) Friday afternoon!
I am 18 weeks, 5 days today! Sunday I will officially be 19 weeks and in 11 days, we find out what we are having! Either a sweet little boy or a princess of a girl :) Either way this child will be loved beyond measures and raised in a good ol' southern Christian household! WE CAN'T WAIT!
We do have names picked out, but I won't be sharing those just yet! I have no idea about nursery ideas. I have a few boy things in my head but I am just not sure about a little girl!
People keep asking me, "Do you think it's a girl or boy?" Honestly, I am really not sure. I have had dreams of a boy (twice) but the heartbeat was 154 so everyone keeps saying "Oh it's a girl!" But I don't buy into that wives tale because I know several people who's sweet little boys were basically running a marathon! We just want a healthy sweet baby! Either gender will be thrilling and a blessing!
As far as my bump is concerned, it's growing... and I am officially grown out of my pre-pregnancy jeans. I bought a Bella Band and can wear my normal pants and skirts (well my 10s anyway) with the Bella Band! But I do have a couple of pairs of pregnancy pants and dresses. And I am enjoying wearing those LOTS with my new expansion! ha
But here are my belly pics ladies :) Have a fabulous weekend. I will be working on my house all weekend!!! Lots of progress will be made! Hugs girls!
PS-Be looking for a post next week about my pregnancy workouts! It was a tough transition but I am making it :)
18.5 weeks here! My bump is starting to appear but it's not really noticeable yet!
