Let's talk bodies.

I realized today I haven't updated my weight loss progress in over a month so I am here this morning to do that and get some advice on bathing suits!

As we remember (or not) here are my last stats I reported:

Before baby: 145
Before delivery: 210 (holy moly)
5 week ago: 155
Currently: 152

My loss is slowing down! But that's ok! I have good news to report!

I am officially back in my pre-preggo clothes. Jeans and all! whoop whoop!

My main focus was on the Seven jeans I got for Christmas. I wore them 2 months and got pregnant. So they were my "skinny" jeans that I was trying to get back in them. And yesterday, I was brave enough to try, it worked! :) Yippee!!!!!!!!!!

I have slacked off of the diet some lately but I have to get back to it! That has always been my problem. I work hard to get where I want to be and then I slack some and end up gaining 5 or 10 lbs and have to start over! NOT DOING THAT THIS TIME!

I do have one BAD confession. I haven't worked out in a month! Working full time and taking care of my family just hasn't allowed me the time. But in one week and one day I will officially be a SAHM and I will be getting back into the workout routine then. Excited to get back to it!

Ok, speaking of bodies and being in shape.... have any of you noticed this AWESOME Spring weather we have been having (of course you have)!!?? So it's truly time to start thinking bathing suits!! I am on a budget so I can't go all crazy and spend a ton of money but I would like to get one that will last this summer! And I am good with one (maybe two)!

So here's the problemo... I am not crazy about my stomach. It's still a little "soft." I am thinking about a tankini, although my husband would object! He thinks I look great (of course you do honey, I am your wife and you love me) and I should wear a bikini and I am considering it!

You have prob see other bloggers talk about the Land's End Canvas line. Well I received an email with these awesome swimsuits this morning! I need your help deciding!
All photos are from the Land's End Canvas site.

First of all, congrats on the weight loss! I bet you look and feel great. :) Secondly, I am so happy you will be able to stay home and spend more time with your precious babe!
I love Land's End swimsuits. I got one from there last year (my first) and loved it! However, it is now 2 sizes too big which forced (haha) me into having to purchase a new one this year. I'm on a budget too so I shopped in the closeouts section and got a great deal on a tankini that I adored online but so much more once I got it home and saw how it looked on me. :) So, that being said...I love the last bikini! I could never pull it off but it is super cute!

I love the last one!

i like the dot swim bottoms. not a fan of the last pic of the bottoms, and lines going that way will make you appear wide. :) i think you should TOTALLY rock a bikini!!! you're still young so DO IT! Congrats on the weight loss!!

I love this post because I'm sick of people moaning about how they're 130 lbs. GIMME A BREAK!

I am also down to my pre-pregnancy weight (148 lbs, thank you very much!) but still want to lose another 10-15 AND keep it off! A new bathing suit would certainly keep me motivated!

I agree with the last post about the horizontal stripes making you look wide. When I look for a 2 piece, I will have to find one with either a fairly high waist (just under the belly button) or a tankini. A one piece is just too difficult when you have to pee!

YAY!! Congrats on the jeans--so happy for you. I think you could totally rock a bikini--it's all about how YOU feel though. I love the ones I've seen from LEC. I like the suits with a more covering bottom, but, that's just cause I hate my bum (well, and stomach!). I think any of the options are super cute and would look great on you.

Congrats on your baby weight loss and staying at home with Addison. I too just lost all my baby weight feels so good.I started my seach for a swim suit and ended up with a one piece halter from LEC and a bikini. I love the dots! Wondering if the stripes may make women look wider. At least they would on me. Good luck!!

I am so proud of you!!! You are such an inspiration to me!!! I need to get back on the wagon too but I'm bored with eating right. Does that make sense? LOL!!!

As far as swimming suits I love the last one!!! Super cute. For me I'll probably just avoid them all together this year because I'm still not where I want to be. :)

XOXO

Congrats on fitting back into you "skinny jeans". I'm still working on it...

I like the last bathing suit (stripes) but with a solid bottom (that's my personal opinion of course).

I've heard that if you do a pattern on top and a solid on the bottom it draws a person's view up -idk if it's true -LOL! I also personally have heavy thighs and I usually go for a side string bottom or smaller straps on the side (it just seems to look better on me for some reason than the wider sided bottoms -again my own personal opinion).

I like target, they always have a wide variety and you can mix and match the tops and bottoms -and I personally have to try bathing suits on (over my own drawers of course).

Good Luck and I hope you find something you like.

AMAZING!
I have been struggling for so long, and don't even have baby weight to lose, so I am seriously impressed!
Those last 7 pounds will fly off once you start hitting the gym again!

great job with your weight loss! So good to hear. It gives hope to those baby-less and scared i'll become a hippo forever! (Did I say that out loud?)

Is it bad that I want to stick my head in the sand and pretend bathing suit weather is not right around the corner?!? I don't think this body is going to be wearing one of those this year after this kiddo comes!!

Way to go on the weight loss!! You give me hope!

I knew when I read your blog again you'd be counting down the days until you will be at home w/ that sweet little girl! I would be too! Sometimes my dog (preicous lil' Chihuahua) gets very nervous/separation anxiety when I leave the house and I feel bad for leaving so I can just imagine it's hard to leave your baby.

I'm thinking w/ being at home and being able to make time to work out regularly you will be rocking all your old bikinis in no time. After all, it's just now Spring so you should be in good shape.

I always get a new bikini (always Victoria's Secret) every summer, but I have several that are still in good shape so I'm not getting one this summer. I'm on a budget too. Ugg. :-)

OOO! I just got a swimsuit from LEC - I LOVE it! But here are my thoughts... the "retro hipster" style? Was NOT CUTE on me - I looked like I was wearing a diaper - it did nothing for my thighs and created muffin tops (even though the piece itself was actually too big for me)... I exchanged it for the wideband bikini bottom and it is lovely and flattering!

Just my two cents! :) Congrats on your awesome accomplishment!!

Congrats on the weight loss!

Those are such cute suits! I've recently been contemplating a swim suit purchase from J.Crew. Their suits are expensive, but SO chic! The ruched bikini is my absolute fav.
